Strings of the World 2 is quite demanding compared to the first volume (UE38057) and contains moderately difficult pieces in Aleksey Igudesman's inimitable style. The pieces are also suitable for less advanced players, as all parts are also available in an easy version.
The first piece is Aleksey's arrangement of "La Cucaracha", whose familiarity will help players to master the fast rhythms. Then he presents three of his own compositions. "In the Woods" is a pastoral piece with opportunities for some solos. "Los Dos Fillipinos" introduces the techniques of col legno and foot stomping before "Morrison's Jig" brings us back to the ground of Irish folk inspired music.
