PIRASTRO KorfkerRest® Model 2 – maximum freedom of sound meets individual comfort

Seven years of development, PIRASTRO's expertise and close collaboration with renowned violinist Berent Korfker have resulted in an exceptional shoulder rest: the PIRASTRO KorfkerRest® Model 2.

Its goal: to give the instrument maximum freedom to unfold its natural sound potential while providing outstanding, individually adjustable playing comfort.

At the heart of the KorfkerRest® is its ultra-lightweight construction made from high-quality maple tonewood. Unlike conventional shoulder rests, the wood can be individually shaped to suit the player's shoulder and playing position. At the same time, the design uses a minimum of damping materials, allowing the instrument to vibrate more freely and unfold its full tonal and dynamic potential.

Weighing only approx. 30 grams, the KorfkerRest® is exceptionally light. A wide range of precise adjustments for height, tilt and position allows it to be individually adapted to both player and instrument.
