D'Addario Natural Rosin – Natural Rosin for Violin, Viola and Cello

Optimal bow grip for a clear and controlled sound:D'Addario Natural Rosin is made from high-quality natural ingredients and provides an even bow response and a comfortable playing feel. It is suitable for bows with both natural horsehair and synthetic bow hair, delivering reliable performance and excellent value for money.

Natural Quality for Every Level

The carefully balanced formula ensures optimal grip between bow hair and string. The result is a clear, controlled sound with precise response and even tone production – ideal for beginners, advanced players and professionals.

The practical plastic channel provides a secure and comfortable grip, especially for students. Thanks to its compact design, the rosin fits easily into most instrument cases.

Available in Light and Dark

D'Addario Natural Rosin is available in two formulas to suit different playing preferences.

• Light Rosin – less grip for fast, easy bowing. Especially popular with violin and viola players.
• Dark Rosin – more grip for a stronger response and increased traction. Ideal for cello players and musicians who prefer greater bow grip.

However, colour alone is not a definitive indication of hardness, as both softer and harder rosins can be produced in different colours.

How to Use

For optimal results, 3 to 4 strokes across the bow hair at the beginning of a playing session are usually sufficient. After playing, it is recommended to wipe the instrument and strings with a soft cloth to remove rosin residue.
