A novelty in the Perpetual set is the E-string finished with a platinum coating, available in thicknesses of 0.26 mm and 0.267 mm.
The e-string 0.26 mm sounds silvery-bright and very brilliant, the stronger E 0.267 mm is slightly darker in tone and even more voluminous. Both e-strings are equipped with a removable ball.
