The carbon steel A and D strings are wound with a multi-alloy. They ensure a powerful and focused sound. The G and C strings with spiral core are wound with tungsten/chrome. They are of exceptional sonority, also have a powerful sound and saturated depth. The homogeneity in the transition of the 4 strings goes hand in hand with an effortless presence. Even in the most delicate pianissimo, they retain their full potential.
RONDO cello strings can be played almost immediately and quickly develop their full sound potential. They respond immediately and inspire with excellent tuning stability and an exceptionally long service life. They offer a rich abundance of tonal modulation in all registers and an excellent balance between warmth and brilliance.
A-string Thomastik-Infeld RONDO Experience® RO41XPA very lively string that has a lot of shine and overtone richness compared to the regular Rondo A-string. It reacts even faster to playing impulses with the right hand and at the same time you can produce a clear, distinct sound with little effort from the left hand.
The string has 700g less string tension, but in contrast to other softer strings it is exceptionally strong and produces a very compact sound despite a wide sound range. Despite the lower sound density and the softer playing sensation, it offers a nice resistance. It reacts more sensitively to bow pressure and bow speed and thus offers a higher modulation capability. Thanks to its forgiving character, the RO41XP keeps the contact absolutely reliable even with little bow pressure close to the bridge.
