Filou is a cheerful and bright solo piece. The virtuoso, hymnic main theme embodies the character of a rascal, comparable to a modern version of Till Eulenspiegel. The whole range of the instrument is being used throughout. Elements of pop are included in tune, rhythm and harmony. Bass players with experience in thumb position will delight their audience!
