In the third volume of her famous cello method, Odile Bourin proposes to continue the study of positions by abandoning the use of red and blue dots, considering that the pupil should now know when he (she) must take down the thumb.

The goal is that the pupil reflects on what he (she) is doing. The 1/2 position often confused with the 1st position with rear extension as well as the 6th position, the simplest intermediate positions, will be addressed in this volume.

Odile Bourin teaches in Paris. She regularly conducts cello and chamber music courses for undergraduate and graduate students of music schools.
