The templates are self-adhesive, but of course without glue - they adhere by means of static electricity, i.e. the fingerboard remains untouched. This makes these stencils ideal for showing beginners and their left hands the way to and on the fingerboard. If you have any doubts about the pedagogical benefits of stencils, even Mr. Suzuki used them - and they were even used in the Baroque period, for example they were recommended by Francesco Geminiani, Michel Corrette and Leopold Mozart.
