Designed by Klaus Bender, a dedicated cellist and engineer, who had been researching function and sound of end buttons and endpins.
The KLAUS BENDER endpin is unique as to its material, form and function. It is exclusively manufactured in Germany.
Function: The Klaus Bender violin-/viola endpin is not just push fitted into the instrument, but screwed into the bottom block of the instrument. The fine thread on the cone nearly doubles the area of contact compared to conventional smooth cones. Screwed in thightly, this allows perfect sound transfer between tailpiece, instrument and enp pin. The improvement of the sound is unmistakeable!
Material:
The BENDER violin-/viola endpin is made of aluminium. They have more mass than the regular wooden or plastic cones, a fact that has been tested and shown to improve the sound.
The material aluminium is not influenced by changes in temperatures or humidity. The Klaus Bender cone thus firmly remains in the instrument. A big advantage for musicians who do a lot of traveling!
