PIRASTRO Strings

The company has developed many masterful strings for bowed stringed instruments. The company, which was founded in 1798 by Giorgio Pirazzi, still produces strings for violin, viola, cello and double bass. Today, 150 employees work at two locations.

At Paganino gut strings, steel strings, plastic strings and synthetic strings are available. It is important to find the right Pirastro strings to the instrument, so that the sound of the own instruments can be optimized and everyone can realize their own sound ideas.

In order that the bow could bring the violin strings or the cello strings to sound, you necessarily need a good rosin, in German also called Kolophonium.

GUT STRINGS

PIRASTRO Chorda for violin viola cello

Plain gut strings, the G-string is wound with silver. With these strings baroque instruments can be stringed authentically.

Dhe power-strings pf the latest generation have a core made of modern synthetic fibers. The sound is powerful and brilliant, at greatest volume, brightest sound capacity and easiest response. They are immediatly in tune and insensitive to fluctuations in humidity and temperature.
